Vesalius3D respects and protects the privacy of its customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use customers’ information.

Use of Information collected through our website
We may use personal information collected by us through our website for the following purposes:

• to uniquely identify you in our system;
• to ensure that our software is licensed to a unique user;
• to contact you if you have requested information or communication from us;
• to provide you with product updates and upgrades, special offers, newsletters, and other information;
• to undertake any promotional activities;

When you do not provide the required information, you will be unable to complete the following:

• purchase a product through our Ecommerce Engine;
• use our software products;

Use of Information collected through Vesalius3D
We may use information collected by us through Vesalius3D for the following purposes:

• to better understand how Vesalius3D is used;
• to diagnose problems in Vesalius3D;
• to more efficiently support you if you have requested support from us.

Per default, a unique computer identifier is stored along with the usage information that is collected through Vesalius3D. This identifier allows us to link usage information to the personal information collected through our website. This helps us to better understand which features are mostly used by certain user groups and it can help us to more efficiently support someone who has a support request. It is also possible to configure Vesalius3D to not send along the unique computer identifier. When doing this, future collected data is stored anonymously and cannot be linked to a user anymore. Information Collection
Situations in which we may collect information include the following situations: Buying a product through our Ecommerce Engine; Use of our software; Requesting information or support through the contact form on our website, through our software, or through other informational tools.

The information we collect is the information you submitted to us such as your name, IP address, email address, phone number, payment account information, and other information. In case of a software license for one of our products, we may also collect a unique computer identifier. If you contact our customer support service, we may collect other personal information you knowingly and voluntarily provide through your contact with our customer service representatives. We also collect information that is sent to us by your browser, such as the date and time of your visit.

When using our software application Vesalius3D, we may also collect statistical information to improve Vesalius3D. The information we collect and/or process are:

• System information, such as, operating system version, amount of memory installed, graphics card specifications, processor specifications and a unique computer identifier;
• Vesalius3D product information, such as version number;
• Non privacy related information about your datasets, such as modality and size of the data (but not the content of the data, nor any other sensitive data);
• Statistical Dataset usage information, such as how often you open a dataset;
• How you interact with Vesalius3D, including the features you use and the options you select.

Sharing of Information

We use trusted third parties to provide services to us on our behalf and help us to operate our business. We may share your information with our service providers in connection with their provision of services to us. In the event of a data breach, Vesalius3D will issue a breach notification to all affected parties within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
