Vesalius3D is an easy to use application for the visualization of patient specific anatomical structures from standard medical data. Just upload the data select a visualization and navigate to your area of interest. Vesalius3D allows you to understand your data and be able to show this to others.

Vesalius3D

  • Shows instant patient specific anatomy visualization
  • Reveals details and structures missed using only standard 2D slices
  • Allows you to fly around inside the patient to get to your point of view fast
  • Is easy to use yet filled with functionality
  • Uses the existing standard medical images (CT, MR, Ultrasound) – no special scan needed
  • Contains presets for most used tissues

Visualizations – Efficient and fast

Predefined Visualizations
You can define your own visualization settings, however Vesalius3D allows you to bypass this step and immediately go to the result using starting visualizations.

Starting Visualizations contain the settings for most used tissues. Vesalius3D comes with standard visualizations for CT MR and Ultrasound.

Saving the work
States are a powerful tool to store your work and be able to get back to the exact view and layout later.

Quantifications

Vesalius3D provides various tools for measurement. There are 2D and 3D quantification tools.

  • 2D quantification tools include distances, angles, and contour areas
  • 3D quantification tools include distances, contours, angles, and volume segmentations

Extractions & 3D printing

Extractions enable better uderstanding of the scan. The extraction module in Vesalius3D allow users to make extractions from medical images. The extractions can be exported and 3D printed.

Data Management

Imported scans are automatically organized in a library for easy access, selection, previews and re-use.

Vesalius3D offers elaborate data management capabilities. The integrated library supports data of multiple modalities and formats including 2D image stacks in most common formats, various RAW formats, and DICOM images (“.dcm” extension).

Features include

  • Imported data is kept in the original state (no conversion), so no information is lost
  • PACS module for query and retrieve of image files from PACS in hospital workflow
  • Multiple data types support (including: Philips DICOM in Cartesian format (US), GE VolDICOM (US), DICOM sliced 3D data (MR, CT, etc.), sliced 3D data in all major image formats, including png, jpg, bmp, tiff, gif, etc, ICS format, MRC format, Tomtec DAT format)

Stereo Visualization – Vesalius3D VR, the virtual reality solution

The ultimate way to experience 3D data is in ‘Stereo’. Stereo adds depth to a dataset which makes it possible to fly through the vessels of a patient and explore along the way.

Vesalius3D VR can export most used 3D Stereo formats. Vesalius3D VR is used live during conference presentations, group discussions, team meetings, training sessions and in classrooms. If you want to be immersed inside your patient Vesalius3D VR is the solution for you.
